HEXES and PRAYERS

A day too short for hexes
A day to0 tall for prayers
A day too short for hexes
A day to0 tall for prayers

..........................................

What now, what now
They look, they look
and then, and then
words cut

A pause to a promise
unanswered-all silent
What can be said
There is no dawn

It could, It could,
could have been said
Ashes remain,
for my sadness to spread

.................................

Velvet red pouch,
blood soaked dread,
what now, what now,
what happens now?

Lips like grinders,
3 tongues that spin
The fangs come out,
and the spikes sink in

......................................

A day too short for hexes
A day to tall for prayers
A day too short for hexes
A day to tall for prayers

Lips like grinders,
3 tongues that spin
The fangs come out,
and the spikes sink in

........................................

A day too short for hexes
A day too tall for prayers
A day too short for hexes
A day too tall for prayers

........................................

Lips like grinders,
3 tongues that spin
The fangs come out,
and the spikes sink in

What now, what now
They look, they look
and then, and then
words cut

........................................

It could, It could,
could have been said
Ashes remain,
for my sadness to spread

Lips like grinders,
3 tongues that spin
The fangs come out,
and the spikes sink in

........................................

A day too short for hexes
A day too tall for prayers
A day too short for hexes
A day too tall for prayers

........................................

(Pause)

No further down this road
No distance shall I go
To uncover grave horrors
that one should never know

Apple Eyes

Apple seeds and cyanide
open wide my love, it's fine
It's now time to say goodnight,
and everything's alright
In the earth there was a tree
softly smiled and sang to me
fed me apples patiently
"young one the seeds are good for thee"

Belladonna in the air
sweetly sleeping
cleansed with care
My delight, it seems unfair
A beauty you are a bird, ensnared
Gaze upon your apple eyes
Green just like this shade of night
Move no more and bathe in light
Too lovely to feel will to fight

Gasping green & coughing red
There's no evil in this bed dear
I shall feed you monkshood bread
To cure the devil in your head
wolfsbane soup & foxglove eyes
stroke your hair
Look to green skies dear
Have no fear, I'll tell you why
Lovely you are, too young to die

The Meadow

Lying in the meadow,
fighting somewhere past the sea
chopping in the meadow
bludgeoning everyone I see

This is the way we are,
the way we've been
& always will be
This is a passing point
River anoint
the prowling switch fiend
I am my mother's son
Inside the womb
my father has won
I am the lasting voice
the rite of choice,
great village of blood

In the thicket
of our cavernous reign
I see a pattern
Fond memory of pain

Lying in the meadow
eating somewhere past the sea
watching in the meadow
butchering anyone I see

In the thicket
of our cavernous reign
I see a pattern
an image of grain

A way to waste your sight
Who tore the cloud
in blood covered drops
the senses start to bend
it all will end
What is that dark blotch?
I've faded out all black
What happened here,
and when, I know not
The pleasured clarity,
the rarity
of licking blood spots

In the thicket.
injury I feign
All in timing
Your loss is my gain

Lying in the meadow
Fighting there outside the sea
Burning in the meadow
On fire everyone I see

It is for He...

The Man Plant

I wonder what this is growing?
It seems to live here
It exhibits intelligent features.

Here in my arm.
Here in my arm,
it lives still.

Under the skin
Under the skin
It travels with vine like tentacles
and slips its way
right into my skull

to eat my thoughts
to eat my thoughts

It's witchcraft, isn't it?
As they'd say
in the stained glass house
where the Christians lay

I wonder how it's doing there
There in my skull
There in my skull
It grows old
And it's been years
and I only know that it's

eating my thoughts.
eating my thoughts.

I ask again and again and again...

Bend down to reach over the bridge
And look to the water below my friend
So that you'll be grown
that you'll be grown

a specimen full
crushing me slowly
emerald green and
inside my skull
inside my skull

It eats my thoughts.
